+ $39.90 – Long Form Marriage Certificate

+ $914.08 – Legal Fees

+ $127.97 – HST on Legal Fees

= $1,300.00 – Total

The costs for the Court Filing Cost, Marriage Certificate and HST are beyond our control, of course, but we have been able to streamline the legal work to the point that we are able to provide a very reasonable price for a simplified Uncontested Divorce.

Our starting price for an Uncontested Divorce with children involved is as follows:

+ $218.05 – Court Filing Fee

+ $39.90 – Long Form Marriage Certificate

+ $1,264.96 – Legal Fees

+ $177.09 – HST on Legal Fees

= $1,700.00 – Total

The reason it costs more when children are involved is simple, there is a fair bit more work involved, including drafting income disclosure that can often be avoided when there are no children.
