Child Support
In any matter regarding the ongoing maintenance of children through child support payments, full and honest disclosure of income is mandated by the Courts. Once this is done, child support can be a relatively straight-forward calculation, based on the:
1. province of residence of the parent paying support;
2. income of the parent paying support; and
3. the number of children to be provided for.
There are complicating variables, such as under-the-table income and self-employment income. You may consult one of our qualified lawyers for further information.
There is a government website HERE with an easy-to-use calculator that you can use to ballpark what you can expect to pay.
