Lily Bender

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Lily is now based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In June 2023, Lily earned her Juris Doctor (J.D) from Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law with a specialization certificate in criminal justice. Prior to this, she attended the University of Guelph from 2016 to 2020, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science, International Development, and Philosophy.

Lily has a broad range of legal experience, including criminal, international, and human rights law, as well as federal-level legislative development. During her final year of law school, Lily participated in a year-long Schulich School of Law clinic, working alongside Nova Scotia Special Prosecutions on high-impact cases. While articling with Bland & Associates, she has focused on developing a wide range of expertise in various legal practice areas including family law, real estate, wills and estates, and civil litigation.
